TOMMY CHONG & SHELBY Grammy Award winning comedian Tommy Chong is legendary for his invaluable contribution to American counterculture as part of the comedy team Cheech & Chong. During their reign, the twosome recorded six gold comedy albums, including the 1974 Grammy winner Los Cochinos, and starred in seven films, most of which Chong co-wrote and directed. After Up in Smoke, Cheech & Chong starred in a string of successful films. These films remain huge video rentals and a regular diet of daily television. Chong went solo in the 1990 Far Out Man which he wrote and directed. Chong has appeared in over twenty movies with screenwriter, director, and producer credits to his name. The September 1998 issue of High Times magazine, features Chong on the cover was one of their best selling issue to date. Chong's cover outsold George Carlin, Kurt Cobain, and Jerry Garcia. Chong make a guest appearance on ABC's Dharma & Greg, Novermber 1999, and currently has a reoccurring role as Leo on Fox's That 70's Show. Comedian Shelby Chong is know as Tommy Chong's favorite co-star on the big screen to live stage performances. Fans remember her as the sexy French Fifi in Things Are Tough All Over, the Princess in the The Corsican Brothers, and the blonde body builder that Cheech got choked up over in Nice Dreams, with associate producer credits form several Cheech & Chong movies. She went to appear in several other feature films, television, and theatre such a Tripwire, The Spirit of '76, Far Out Man, and General Hospital. She has been seen on HBO, Comedy Central, and The Howard Stern Show. She stepped onto the comedy stage in 1996 during Chong's world tour as a show opener and has toured every year since. In January 2000, the official announcement was made the Chong had replaced Cheech with a new comedy duo partner, Tommy Chong & Shelby. Tommy Chong & Shelby is currently on tour traveling the country as a comedy duo. Their shows are filled with the type of humor that make them famous during their Cheech & Chong reign. When performing in a music venue or festival, Chong and the Family Stoned Band featuring sons, Paris and Boo (Gilbran) join Tommy Chong & Shelby on the road taking the audience down memory lane with classic songs from Cheech & Chong. When this duo is not crisscrossing the hemisphere selling out venues, they are busy with a number of projects, filming television, keeping in contact with fans as Mayor Chong and the First Lady of Stonerville located at www.tommychong.com.
